About Talking Rock Ventures, LLC
Talking Rock Ventures was founded in 2000 by Carol and Bill Wolski, to create highly desirable sites for residential use and investment opportunities. Carol Wolski has more than twelve years’ experience in real estate and consulting, including extensive work in mortgage financing. In addition to her successful business career, she founded and currently manages Dark Horse Farm in Alpharetta, GA. Her husband, the late William (Bill) Wolski, was an All-American running back at Notre Dame and a fifth round draft pick in the NFL. Following his career with the Atlanta Falcons, in the late 60s Bill became a real estate broker/developer and was the first developer on Lake Oconee -- one of Georgia’s premiere lake communities. Today, Lake Oconee boasts a Five-Star Ritz Carlton Resort and the prestigious Reynolds’s Plantation development. In 2000, the Wolskis started investing in South Fork, Colorado, which ultimately led to Carol’s development of Crooked Creek in Creede, Colorado. The property is located in the valley of the Rio Grande River, which flows out of the National Forest on its way to the Gulf of Mexico. The land offers a panoramic view of the rolling Colorado hillside and the looming Rocky Mountains. The area around Crooked Creek is steeped in 1800s history and is controlled by covenant restrictions and architecture guidelines to protect landowner investments. Crooked Creek is committed to maintaining the area’s rich heritage and natural beauty and affording investors the opportunity to realize their dreams in the Colorado Rockies. This commemorative venture by Bill and Carol created investment opportunities both in Creede and nearby South Fork. It reflects the strong attraction he and Carol shared for the natural beauty of the Western United States and its Native American heritage. |
